My second orchid tank
This one is much larger than the first one and fit all the rest of my orchids with still some room to spare:
Here is how I bought it(vandas there just to see the height): http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-20HNdocAQX...d_tank_two.jpg All built and ready: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DCxHjFQuRB...d_tank_2_1.jpg Filled with plants: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2u71vEVlUV...d_tank_2_2.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GAIaLRGIKG...d_tank_2_3.jpg |
Very nice! I would love something like that.

Thank you Vanda_lover!
You can make one, it is easy to do. All you need is a reptile tank, egg-crate from home depot and cheap glassware from dollarama. |
Maybe I will do it sometime. I'll have a little more space in the basement once my bunny dies of old age.

Very nice-good Job-again :)

Very well built. I've been thinking about building one of these. Where did you get your tank? Did you put in the "glass corner shelves" things, if that's what they are? Love the clean look and front access!

Wow - awesome!
|
Very nice looking! What kind of lights are you using?
|
Thank you everybody!
Phal_grower, I got both my tanks from here: Catalogue of 'Glass Tanks - Reptile Terrariums' Sale Items. Deva. Glass tanks. Plants. Seeds. Minerals and Rocks. Live Foods. I think in the other thread, about my first tank somebody posted link to US producer of similar tanks. Silken, I use hydrofarm designer fixture 4ft with 4 tubes of T5 HO lights in both tanks but I removed one tube in this one and removed two tubes in the smaller tank because lights were too strong and phals were literally burning there. |
Those are very nice tanks at reasonable prices, but I imagine that shipping would be pretty expensive.
Our Canadian shipping just went up again. |
