Consider These Possibilites

I have quite a few species (and a couple of primaries) that are in spike. Since I have access to some lab facilities, I am considering doing some crosses and experimenting with doing my own lab work.

These are some of the crosses I am contemplating, and my ‘ideas/reasoning/hopes/dreams’ for doing so.

bastianii x tetraspis—yellow background with fewer bars—Unregistered, I believe.

tetraspis x bastianii—white background with rust bars—Unregistered, I believe.

equestris x Germain Vincent (speciosa 'C#1' x Phal. violacea indigo)—floriferous, larger and darker flower than equestris—Unregistered, I believe.

aphrodite x Germain Vincent (speciosa 'C#1' x Phal. violacea indigo)—rounder flower, more floriferous than GV, with color of GV. Unregistered, I believe.

equestris var. alba x bastianii (Jean Francois)—I have only seen it with ‘common’ colored equestris.

equestris var. alba x modesta (Hiroshima Equmo)—again, I have only seen it with ‘common’ colored equestris.

tetraspis x modesta—see picture on Alain’s site Phalaenopsis tetraspis x Phalaenopsis modesta —Can’t imagine where all the green comes from—Unregistered, I believe.

I’m open to comments, I think….
