Phal amabilis first bloom!
I got this orchid from a friend before I was into orchids about 3 and a half years ago.
It was pretty much dead.. I somehow managed to get it into good health and learned about basic orchid care in the process. Last winter it rewarded me with a small flower spike. Which was karate chopped off accidentally by my fiance before any of the buds could open. This year it sent up a spike from the spike that was karate chopped. As well as another spike. The spike that's reblooming off the old spike has five buds and the new spike has thirteen. The very first flower of my first orchid is starting to open! I'm so excited.
