Tiny pseudobulb on a large pseudobulb
Hello everyone!
Something strange happened with my miltoniopsis in the past few weeks! On one of the pseudobulbs grew a smaller tinier pseudobulb on top of it. This smaller pseudobulb has stopped growing. Can anyone tell me what this is and if it is normal? |
its completely normal and also occurs in other genera. I have a zygo and a few oncidium alliance plants showing that little growth. It doesn't get any bigger than a thumbnail, and you only get 1 or 2 bulbs where it happens. I even have a miltoniopsis seedling with it. Don't be concerned.

Yes, I was just re-potting my Onc. sotoanum and same thing. Quite common in the Onc. alliance.
