Cleisostoma Scolopendrifolium Culture

Hi all! I recently got my hands on a cleisostoma scolopendrifolium, but I'm having trouble getting the plant to do anything but sulk. I know it needs a lot of water, and likely a good bit of light, but I'm pretty much sunk finding cultural information on it other than that. Much like schoenorchis scolopendrifolius (which is similarly sized), it climbs around its mount with roots spread between the leaves.

Anybody have any ideas about what to do with this little guy?

Edit: just fyi--i recently moved the plant into a vivarium, where it's getting great air movement, high light, and temperatures from 63-70F. I mist it twice a day or soak it once.

:bump: Good luck!

I recommend posting a photo of this plant. It's extremely difficult to tell what's wrong with it. I may not have grown this specific species, but I have grown other Cleisostoma species in the past.

This is going on my wish list. If I may ask, where did you get this?

According to IOSPE PHOTOS, it grows cool to cold, dappled/partial shade.

Good luck.

OK, thanks! Toning the light down would be a good start...the leaves aren't burning, but the roots seem to be drying out bit by bit no matter how much I drench the thing.

There's more to this problem than lighting.

It's really difficult to tell what's going on without a photo.

If you can't find direct info on the plant itself, you've got to find info on the areas they come from.
