Culture guidance for Crtn. Fesselli x Tube Niu Girl
1 Attachment(s)
I bought this little cutie yesterday from Parkside Orchid in Ottsville PA. Though not so visible in the picture it has another bud spike coming as well. Parkside is having their annual anniversary sale and we were driving by on our way back from Thanksgiving....:whistling
I've done a little research on its culture and learned moist but not wet, moderately bright light and cool to intermediate temps Any other cultural advice? In my opinion, it is over potted and I plan to mount it. What would be good timing to transfer it to a small piece of cork slab? Attachment 74817 I also bought B. Grand Stars, Epc Lime Sherbert x B. Little stars, both potted, and Sophtonitis cernua mounted on cork. :blushing: Thanks in advance for all your help! |
I have the Niu Girl and yours has an extra dose of the fesselii parent, so this advice should be good. Mine is definitely cool growing, moderate light (I have it as far from the T5 HO bulbs as I can get it) and it is mounted and gets watered every day.

By the way, I've seen your hybrid and it looks exactly identical to the Niu Girl parent. I wasn't able to see any difference anyway, but maybe that's my failing eyesight.

Thanks Ron! Any advice on when to switch it to the mount? I'm thinking that spring/signs of active growth are the trigger or after flowering in done???

I usually mount things when they start to put out new roots.
