T5 Fixture sources
 

I've got about 30 phals to put under a light, we are moving to new location without good natural light. From what I read, I understand that T5HO is the most economical. Can someone recommend a good source for the fixtures. Also, what size would you recommend? (1-2 lamp 48") (2- 2 lamp 48"), or (1- 4 lamp 48"). I am not sure how much light it will require.

Ive purchased two fixtures from them now and they are great with high quality reflectors.

I would recommend taking a look at these ones: High Bay Full Body - High Bay - High Bay Fluorescent 4 Lamp

I don't grow any Phals so can't recommend how many you will need, but you can always remove bulbs if its too strong or raise the lights higher.

This is the light I use for my paphs, phals, and potinara: HTG Supply - GrowBright 4 Foot 4 Lamp High Output T5 With Choice of Bulbs It works well and comes with your choice of bulbs. Check out HTG Supply for more lights and supplies.

A T5 4 bulb 48" will give enough light to bloom catts, so as long as you can get them high enough from the phals you should be fine. Mine are about 14-18" below the bulbs. This place has a great price for the fixture but you have to buy bulbs separate. I use 6500K bulbs.

The size of fixture and number of bulbs will be determined, to some extent, by the area to be covered.

Give us more details about the plants and growing location dimensions, and we can offer better advice.

Bought this from homedepot and it came with 4 T5HO. Cheap, very good, and free shipping. Return is easy too if you have a homedepot nearby.

I measured the fc and reported it in the lastest feedback on the webpage below. Your phals. should do fine about 3.5-4 feet away.
