Brassavola "nodosa" 'Micky Mouse'

Identity as B. nodosa is questionable.

Beautiful, whatever it may be :)

Its a beautiful flower. It must also have the fragrance of a nodosa....it looks compactly mounted....
I saw the 'Mickey Mouse' at Andy's orchids and it is similar to what you have on your pictures.
My B. nodosa that I featured on a thread not long ago still has some four flowers on a spike and is budding another spike. As long as it produces new leaves; it will produce flowers on those new leaves....

Thanks, Bud. There are those who question whether it actually is nodosa.

I'm not sure if it is subulifolia, which tends to be a rather long leaved plant, not short. The subulifolia/nodosa hybrid (Little Stars) is not small either. A compact nodosa (or new sp. or ssp.) sure is a great plant though. I know 'Mickey Mouse' has been around for some years, so I wonder if anyone has done DNA work on this one?

Would like to find out, Steve. The leaves on this are quite short.
