Winter rest for Dendrobium unicum
Hi All,
My D. unicum seems to be behaving strangely. After being outside all summer, it started to grow a new, vigorous cane in the fall. It is now indoors, west facing window, ~60 degrees at night, ~80 during the day, and the cane still appears to be putting on new leaves. At what point do I begin to dry it out for its winter rest? This orchid is mounted on a branch with a bit of sphag around the roots, presently, I am misting it daily in the AM and soaking it once a week. Since it is still growing, I am hesitant to stop watering, or slow watering... Any suggestions here would be much appreciated! |
