Phal roots rotten and with white spots
 

Repotted some of my phals cause my dog threw them down and that gave me a chance to check their roots. At a couple of the phals there were no healthy roots at all. Despite that the plants are green and with no apparent sign of mishap. Is that possible? Also some roots had white sports. Fungi? If so what fungicide should I use?

White spots can be an indication of mealy bugs or scale. Are the white spots fuzzy? Do they dissolve if touched with a swab dipped in alcohol? Do some research on the above and try to find pictures of them.

Unfortunately pics are not available since I cut them off. The spots were only on the rotten ones.
