Another paph opens up!

Pictures are from last night and rather blurry.
It just opened up yesterday.

I have two of this same cross and one other very similar cross.
This one looks more like that other cross as its brother has pure white bloom with skinnier flower shape.

Last year, it bloomed two on one spike.
This time, I do see there's a possible second bud tucked underneath the current bloom, but not sure if it will ever develop into a second flower.

This is a very welcomed bloom because I have been worried that I might lose it after the plant aborted a growing spike on another mature growth a couple of months ago. I'm guessing it was the summer heat that is to blame.

Oh, by the way, the cross name is paph. In Charm Greenery 'Chao Chou' BM/TPS x Paph. In Charm White 'In Charm'

The white flower (nearing the end of its life after being in bloom for quite some time now) in the last photo is another plant of the same cross, or at least the same name tag.
It looks more like one of its parent, In Charm White.

Better photos will follow as the flower opens up completely.

Stay tuned! ;)

Lovely flowers....
I am glad these will give comfort amidst the second storm.
Lucky you, living near the bridge will deter the strong winds away from your windows

Hi, Bud! How are you and how did you get through the Sandy? I hear streets south of 30 something had no power for a while.
I had been in Hawaii, so I missed all the fun.

Where I live was affected, except one small tree in front of the building got knocked off by strong wind.

Yeah, it was nasty yesterday with all that snow/slush everywhere. Having lots of plants with flowers really does help on such gloomy days.
It's always a little bit of tropic here. :D

These will vary greatly (amount of green and white, amount of spotting), so please do post when yours bloom. will be nice to see the difference.

Some of them are stunning and I just wish there was a large farm with lots of these in bloom so I could just walk around and pick the ones I love the most! :)

I too like my all white one. I like green colored one too, but it looks rather different than its last bloom. hmmmm
