Dendrobium glomeratum
2 Attachment(s)
While I was at the Lyman Estate fall orchid sale, I also happened to pick up this beauty, a Dendrobium glolmeratum for 24$! It's pretty large the longest cane being easily 3ft tall. The flowers a very beautiful about 1.5-2" across, in nice pom-poms at the end of leafless canes. The canes on this Den. definitely do not want to stay upright once they are leafless. It's thoroughly clipped in many places!
I was wondering if it would be completely unreasonable to mount it? I'm a sucker for long caned mounted Dendrobiums and this one seems like it might enjoy it. It doesn't seem to have a rest period beyond cutting fertilizer back so I wasn't sure when would be a good time do this? (if ever) As always forgive the photo quality! |

Hope someone is able to help! |
