I was browsing on the internet to find some info about my orchids... and found Orchidboard.com! :)

Before asking any questions, I thought introducing myself would be a good start. So, hi! My name is Jildau, but you can call me Orchideetje. I live in the Netherlands, where I just saved two orchids from being thrown away. :( Now they stand in my window cill and I have no idea what they actually are. So, next I will post some pictures in the identification forum!

Glad you found us. I've visited the Netherlands many times and spent weeks and weeks in northern Belgium (Antwerpen). I always loved the flower markets you find all over the cities. And the orchids are no where near as expensive as here even with the US Dollar not being strong against the Euro!

Thank you for replying. Great that you have visited my country so many times and that you have enjoyed the flower markets! It is autumn now, so we are busy buying and planting tulip bulbs. :)

Unfortunately, my orchids just ceased blossoming. I will take pictures as soon as they bloom again!

Our last trip was the past April and we visited the Keukenhof and the Floriade as well as the flower market at Schipal - we had a great time :)
