Sick Phalaenopsis problem with roots suburn dark leaves HELP SOS
 

I have 3 phalaenopsis and all three having problems. I have problem with the roots maybe because of too much water roots gone gray i cleaned up and cut the roots but i don't know what to do more cause i see some yellow marks on the leaves and spots gofry like (no water symptom)

I have another phalenopsis roots are green but leaves go down.

I don't know if i have to repot or stop water

the roots and the plants look very healthy to me. don't overwater they are in clear pots so its easy to see when to water ; white roots means ok to water if they are green then wait.

They look OK to me too. Not sure what it is that concerns you. As long as the roots aren't mushy they're OK; they don't have to be green. Keep an eye on them thru the clear plastic pot and make sure that you don't' over water as jai star says.

Your plants look fine to me too. As long as the roots are firm they are fine. It doesn't matter what color they are. If they are squishy and or hollow they are dead.

I also think they look fine. When were they re-potted last? I usually re-pot my phals every other spring or so. Clear plastic pots are good, but maybe the roots need a little more air circulation--I am assuming there are drainage holes in the bottom. I use slotted clear plastic pots (you can always cut a few slots in the existing pots) and I find the phals love it. The only time my phals seem to have a problem retaining moisture is if the bark mix is getting old and/or the pot has poor drainage and air circulation.

thank you for your help There were some mushy roots which i cleaned up . The problem is that there is some yellow spots on the leaves that expand ( one leave must have sun burn) and at the periphery of the leave they turn dark color .In one plant also the one with the foot with roots there is a small amount of something like white snow in two roots is this fungal disease can i use alcohol 90% if i dilute with water or peroxide and in which concentration How man times have to water maybe once a week ?
In the other healthy plant i see roots green ok but why the leaves go down

those " white snows " can be Mealybugs which is very common in Phal they can be devestating in big numbers if there are only a few dip a brush in meth spirits then dab onto the bugs this will instantly dissolve them. If there are more than a few then you must spray the whole plant with insecticide. How often you do this depends on how many mealybug you have also spray the other plants as they travel from one to another.

If it is a thin coat of white fuzz on the surface of the roots it may be mold/mildew in which case you can dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide and wipe it right off the roots.

i used alliet 1/4 of a spoon in 1 1/2 lt and combo fertilizer I used it in the plant with this white in roots Do i need to take out this plant again ( i did two times ) and clean the root with peroxide os alliet is it ok ? cause the plant stress up when take it out and put it again is that correct

Do i have to repot ? or maybe later when things will go better ?

I still can not understand the yellow spots and gofry like marks on the leaves

Somebody told me it s a lack of fertilizer ?

In the other phal the new leave is dark color at it s periphery why ? too much water ?

Even the healthiest phal with green healthy roots has leaves that are not up but going downwards

Maybe it s problem of the environment they live

I don't know about the yellow markings on the leaves (I can't really see them from the photos, but that might just be me).

I do know that sometimes when a phalaenopsis is growing in a low-humidity environment, sometimes the edges of the leaves will turn a slightly different color and/or get dry or brittle.

I am not sure if I am understanding your problem with the leaves "growing down"... It is my understanding (an personal experience) that phalaenopsis leaves will start to "grow down", meaning that the tips of the leaves will start to curve towards the floor. In all of my plants, this has happened in my mature phals once the leaves have reached a certain size - they would grow "straight" but then they would start to curve down without any changes in growing condition. If this sounds like what is going on with your phals, then I would say don't worry about it and let them "do their thing".
