Norma - I moved your post to it's own thread so that hopefully more people will see it that way ...

I'm not familiar with this one, tho by the appearance of it, I suspect it needs a winter rest (no fertilizer, little water) - hopefully other members will be able to help out! Good luck!

I've had mine for two years now. Got it from Kawamoto's. I have it in plastic pot with mix of medium bark and sphag. Plastic is so that I can see the roots, otherwise I kill my plants. I put the whole thing in a ceramic pot for stability. It stays outside year-round here in Los Angeles, CA, and so far bloomed both springs in May. First year with one spike, this year with two, 8 flowers each. I fertilize when I remember to do so, which is not often. This plant does not need winter rest, but I water less in winter, since it takes much longer for the medium to dry during this time.

I have mine in a large plastic container with wheals, torocks move it because it's heavy, the mix, charcoal ,rocks clay pellets, color is fine, it's beautiful and have so many new growth that no body believe is an orchid. Is not in the GH, I have it under a covered patio , but its get some sun. Thanks, norma

Mine is exposed to the afternoon sun. From about 1pm to the sunset in winter, and much longer and hotter in summer. It never developed any sunburn, so I haven't moved it from its position. I think once you give your plant more sun, you'll see blooms :)

Thanks for this info. I have a seedling cutting that I paid too much for LOL. This summer put out one new growth and another growth is coming out. I was going to grow it like a nobile, but I guess I won't let it dry out that much after learning how you grow yours.
