Ten Native Orchids near Greenwater and Mount Rainier

This was a hiking trip to the Greenwater area of Western Washington and a great day for orchids! The star of the day, though, was the Brownie Lady's Slipper which we found in abundance in one location (the picture is from another location).

I am also in washington state and LOVE going orchid hunting.

Please tell me you have GPS coordinates for where those plants were found? I would be greatly appreciative if you do!

I am not really at liberty to give the location. It was given me in confidence with the understanding that I would keep it to myself, since these plants are rare and protected. I would suggest that if you want to learn where to find some of these plants that you join the Washington Native Orchid Society and accompany them on some of their field trips. Their information is here: Washington Native Orchid Society-About Us
