Orchids along the Old Blewett Road
The Old Blewett Road runs along Highway 97 in eastern Washington for about 10 miles. It is no longer maintained but is a wonderful place for native orchids and other wildflowers including the Washington Twinpod.

I know that barn! My mother and I took pictures of it and one of her friends did a painting from those pictures. She went to Central and spent a few years at a fire lookout near Wenatchee, so she went through there quite often. Beautiful area, where the trees start again.

You are exactly right. We've stopped more than once for pictures.
