Burr. Pacific Ripple 'Coqui Poke'
 

and 'patent pending' is what it says on the yellow tag on this plant I bought today at a farmer's market.
I was just attracted to the shiny reddish buds with subtle spots, and now it's sitting in my apartment. :biggrin:

It's rather petite plant but has a very long spike with quite a few buds. A quick online search tells me this plant is Vuylstekeara. I guess there has been a name change and either one is an old one.

Oh, by the way, I think I just love the buds not the flowers judging by the pictures I saw. oh, well...

It looks quite nice in the sunlight. no scent.

This is the kind of flowers that I couldn't bear to even look at. now I'm immune to it. :rofl:

The pictures do not pick up the beautiful red/pink hue. oh, well...
