My mom sent me some cuttings of her orchids a red archnis orchid and a lavander antelope dendrobium the have no flowers yet but I cant wait till they get settled inAttachment 70644

Great haul.
Your Dendrobium is a near blooming size but the Vandas are seedlings 3 to 4 years before it blooms. Your plants are all happy and healthy just by looking at the leaves and roots.

I have a full grown arachnis already but its beige with brown spots and I always wanted the red like my moms, so I cant wait till blooms even if it takes 3 years or longer, I have other orchids that for years still havent bloomed but little by little as the years pass they bloom for me and usually when I least expect them too.

Vega - If your Arachnis are cuttings from your mothers plants that have already bloomed, they are not seedlings and will not take years to bloom. With good culture they should bloom in their next normal bloom cycle. I love how big arachis get, that's one of the reasons that you don't see them in many collections. In South Florida where they can grow them out doors all year long, people plant them in the garden as a hedge. Can't wait to see pictures of them when they bloom. Good luck.
