CONGRATULATIONS!
I love the shimmering petals and colors that borders to a ciaroscuro/sfumato almost opaque

Very nice! In your blog you mention that this one might do better mounted. Why do you say that? As I'm building up my orchidarium, I often wonder which plants should be mounted and which ones in spag.

Two things, Steve. It's very small and tends to get lost and it just doesn't seem to take hold in sphagnum. Have some repotting to do in the next few weeks and I'm going to try it mounted.

Ok, so if a plant doesn't send its roots down into the spag, it probably should be mounted? I'll have to check the roots on some of my plants. Thanks for the tip! :bowing

There are some plants that just don't seem to grow well in sphagnum for me, anyway. I try them on mounts, then, but have to admit that it's really just a matter of trial and error. My erinacea I mounted a month or so ago and it is doing much better - just would not do well in a pot. Some, though, are juyst fussy, I think.
