Phrag Sargeant Eric

Phrag. Sergeant Eric (Phrag. Eric Young x Phrag. sargentianum), is an easy to grow and bloom Phrag for me here in Central Florida. I grow it in a bark mixture sitting in an inch of water.

Beautiful!

Really lovely.

I've always been afraid to leave water sitting in my phrag in bark (a bessae hybrid) but I'm thinking I should. My other paph is in S/H and doing well but I think I'm scared to keep the bessae hybrid wet enough and I think it suffers as a result. :hmm

Rosie, if sitting your bessae hybrid in water scares you, try adding some sphagnum moss to it's mix to help retain more moisture.

Thanks Glan, either that or take the plunge and put this one in S/H as well... :hmm I'll have to have a think about this.

Glen, what a beauty! I have 2 phrags at the moment but both are young and I still have to wait to see flowers.
