storing seed pods before sowing

What is the best way to store a seed pod? Also how long can they be stored?

Cary,

There may be a way to do this but everyone I know stores as dry seed, usually folded in wax paper and frozen.

It can be stored in the fridge as well. Dry the seed well, fold it in a coffee filter and then aluminum foil to keep out moisture. I don't know how long it can be kept though. It also depends on the species/genus, some seed stays viable a long time, others deteriorate rather quickly.

Thank you everyone!
