Phal Sogo Vivien

My newest addition worthy of showing even out bloom! From the greenhouse of Peter Lin.http://img.tapatalk.com/aefd1155-d392-3dc8.jpg

Wow, stunning foliage! That's one of the most variegated Sogo Vivien's I've seen. Hope it will do well in the long run, there really isn't much green area for photosynthesis. What's that gorgeous spotted bloom next to it? Me want!! :)

Do you want me to delete the duplicate thread (that has no pics)?

Those leaves are incredible. I've only seen a couple with that much varigation and they were extremely expensive. You definately got a good one there. Congratulations.

Yes the leaves are gorgeous! Even without the blooms it is still worth a second look.

Camille yes please delete the non photo thread. My service was spotty when I hit send on tapatalk.

The spotted bloom you see is Talin Lion. The plant is is terrible shape and likely to die but it gave this bloom.

I don't know whether or not the long term health of the plant will be any good but as it is now, the plant is vigorous. I don't know if it has anything to do with the variegation but even the roots are spotted white and green.

The yellow parts, I wouldn't say, are without photosynthesis entirely. In person they have a noticeable green tinge. I could be very wrong though and the plant only uses those darker green parts.

I actually won this plant off Peter's eBay site and got a pretty good deal on it. He had been selling several for weeks now and every single chance I was unable to bid!!!! But this time I won it while in a grocery store! Lol

That is really cool that the variegation extends down to the roots!!!

I was going to say that too! I love how it's got regualr green roots and yellow roots matching with the leaves. Very cute!!! :)

I recently got my variegated orchid but I've yet to see if the roots are too.

I really have no idea if it's because of the variegation or not but they certainly are interesting roots.
