Pure White Fairy Slipper!!!!!!!!!
Finally after three or four years of looking we found one plant (and then have someone else to thank for discovering it): Calypso bulbosa var occidentalis fma. nivea, all of which means that it is the Western Fairy Slipper lacking all the purple and brown color of the ordinary form.

Thanks, Sonya. It was exciting and we spent several hours in the rain getting soaked for the sake of pictures.

i saw the typical form of these while backpacking in Wyoming last summer, kind of stumbled upon them, it was such a great experience though!

They are so very delicate and lovely, aren't they? We've seen them all over Washington, Oregon and BC.
