Help ID Possible Orchid found in Moab Utah
3 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
I was camping in moab, utah, and stumbled upon this plant that i believe may be an orchid. It is growing all along a seep in slickrock in a shaded area. I am new to the area, so any help in id'ing this plant would be appreciated. Thanks! |
I think it may be something in the lily family, possibly blue-bead lily (Clintonia borealis).

It is not a Phalaenopsis nor Doritis, that much is 100% certain.
Other than this, I have no idea what it is yet... Too difficult to tell without inflorescence or flowers. Any number of Habenaria species could look like this. Habenaria is a genus of terrestrial orchid, btw. It might even be Galearis spectabilis, idk Or it may not even be an orchid at all, to tell you the truth. |
