I'm assuming this is cristata........not 100% sure though. First time it's bloomed for us in the years we've had it but it has turned out well with 6 flowers.

The tag has been lost so if you know what it is then please let me know.

Thanks

For me is cristata: rounded pbulbs (visible in the background), easy grower but hard to bloom! Tip: cristata needs a clear dry period in the winter to bloom (stop to water, only mist from may/june to sept. Don't worry if pbulbs became withered)

Jep, looks like a very nice cristata to me too. Good growing! I have jet to bloom mine, but I have high hopes for this winter.

Yeah it's a huge plant and has never flowered. I will need to give it a dry period next year, heading into spring now in the southern hemisphere so next year as it cools I will give it a rest along with my catt's and soft canes.

Thanks guys!!! I had a feeling that cristata was right.

So I should be happy with 6 flowers this year.
