Shelob!! Sounds like that orchid got mixed up in some LOTR Lover's Green House. Its very nice. And it sort of does look like a mean spider. Sorta.

I had emailed the store where I bought it, and they just said it was Brsdm Flyaway 'Taida.' But I don't really think that looks like my plant: click here |
I went back to the store and found one with a label. It's Miltassia Shelob 'Red Spider.'
