Neofinetia "root show"
The season has started (for me at least )
here are a few forms which show the variety of root colors and leaf shapes, enjoy! Many more to come as the roots start growing... What a show! Thanks for sharing. How many Neos do you have in your collection?

Gotta love those roots!

very nice classic potting, you have an impressive and expensive collection...the Tamanami-Seikai needs fresh moss it is already decayed...Sengaku-No-Kawarii and Hime-Seikai have fungi infestation(use fungicide dipped in a q-tip and wipe the black spot affected areas=do not get the fungicide on the roots) I noticed darkened tips of the leaves on some of the Neo...it is a matter of humidity(either too much or too little) also flush it twice a month for fertilizer deposits on the roots
you have to discover a watering/fertilizer regimen depending on the humidity, temperature and light inside the room you grow your Neos...oh invest in a humidity/temperature battery operated meter...and a small oscillating electric fan Good Growing ! |
Those guys sure do look happy! I'm hoping to come across one of the hybrids that has colour. I love Darwinara but I've never seen them for sale here on the Island.

Ah yes, Neos. Man how I love them! Thank you for sharing those great pictures! Please keep us updated on your progress with them.

I am not blaming you. I saw the pictures and it disturbed me. That was my reaction to your pictures; but then again you were pointing to our attention on the roots: and it is perfection...I just hope you do something about the things I pointed out before they grow into a problem.
I have seen your Neo in S/H method from 2009 to the present in your other thread: now that is growing Neo to perfection. The leaves show the understripes and the roots growing strong and robust downwards towards the water...the flowers were the eact size and form of what a Neo flower should be...so I do not doubt your ability to make these new batch into a perfect Neo as your S/H one. |
