Alocasia gone wild

Hello everyone,

I bought this little Alocasia plant in a 12 inch container and figured it would hang out outside until winter. Every new leaf it puts on is bigger than the last:shock: and it is now getting huge! I love large leafed plants so I thought I would share this with anyone else that may have a tropical fetish...:blushing:
Does anyone have a clue what variety this may be?:hmm

Gorgeous plant!! I love these though varieties are not my forte.

I hope you have plenty of room!

 It's so big, it looks fake !
Beautiful! and so healthy
What size pot do you have it in ??
I would think you would have to bring it inside before the frost .. :hmm .. am I right?

Thanks for the compliments:blushing:
I really don't have that much room inside at all! But it will live inside with the orchids and bananas this winter. Some of the plants will have to go in the GH, but I will run out of room eventually in there too.:blushing:
Currently it is still potted in the 12" cache pot I bought it in. I will repot it into a 14" before I bring it inside to help eliminate bringing slugs inside.
Sigh, I guess I'll just need another greenhouse...

You could let it dry up and store the tuber over the winter and start it over in the spring, I do it all the time. Jim.
