Larger than the average Brassavola perrinii
This clone dimensions are: petal tip to petal tip 4.7", petal width 0.4"; lip (longitudinal) 2", 1.6" across. This larger flower is found in a very small area in Minas Gerais State only. Some suggestions were made that it might be a new species, but experts agreed that it is in fact a large flowered B. perrinii.

Very nice specimen! This version must be pretty rare?

Yes, it is very rare, Phantasm. Actually, it is known to occur only on a hillside near a certain town in Minas Gerais State.

This brassavola is truly worth growing. All it neads is very bright light and a free draining medium. It thrives in baskets. You will be rewarded with exquisite highly scented flowers in profusion. I got an excellent cultivar of B. perrinii at:
