Hello from Brazil
 

Hi, my name is Luis Renato. I live at Curitiba, state of Parana, Brazil.

I decided to search for an international forum to learn more about orchids, since here we don't have good discussion boards.

I grow orchids since I was a child, but now I'm doing this seriously. I contructed a place for them in my garden and I want to provide them the best care.

I have some difficulty to find the some correct names here in Brazil. I hope that with the help of the people at this forum, this will be easier.

Well, soon I will start to post some threads. You all can see some pictures of my orchids at this address:

We already have a few other brazilian members here, with amazing collections. Brazilians are so lucky to have such a perfect climate for orchids. I had a look at your photos, it looks like you grow a wide mix of different things. How many orchids do you have? It looks to be quite a lot!

Yeah, the weather in my region greatly favors the growth of several species of orchids.

Ow, I want to meet other brazilian members. It's good, mainly to share some species.

Yeah, the weather here helps to grow different species. I take and enjoy it.

I don't lnow the exactly number, but I think I have around 200 orchids here. But only 110 are classified.

Mauro Rosim (Rosim_in_BR) is from Brazil and grows a lot of Cattleyas as well as various other orchids. I don't think he's been on OB for a few months though. I've had contact with him outside OB but not seen any posts here.
