The process is simple enjoy what you do & do it as best as you can . My aim as a 'newbie 'will be to grow a variety of orchids with the view that (they) orchids will reward me IF I do things correctly.
The visual enjoyment gained from a Vanda in flower or a smooth Paph with a colourful display will be the icing on the cake. As a 'newbie' one can have dreams & I hope they come true...have fallen in love with ...slippers & phrags - at my age -as they say love is blind & I should know better...

No reason for your dreams to not come true, and you're in the right place to make sure they do!
Once the orchid bug bites it bites hard, and it doesn't matter what age. I think that we pretty much cover the entire age span here, other than children!
So what orchids do you have so far? Have you had anything bloom for you yet?
