Can you wait on a seedling?

There are a ton out right now. I forget which house did them, Hauserman maybe? All the ones that are on ebay are from the same source I believe, worth your 250 limit if you really want one.

Ryan - Junes Orchid Estate has blooming size plants from the Krull Smith breeding line for $65.00. They are not listed on their website but if you call them, they have plenty.

Big Leaf had flasks not long ago and might have seedlings or compots now. I'm not sure. You can write him. If anything knows a good gigantea cross, it would be Peter, and a whole flask wouldn't be that much.

Tropical orchid farm has some, two different sizes I believe

For the size of the the ones they are offering, $250 is totally a reasonable price. For some that size, you're talking easily 5 years out of flask, if not more.
I think Peter from Big Leaf still has a compot of his #3 x #4 cross available.

OMG I must be nuts! I just bought Peter's last com pot of this cross, 3 & 4. I've never grown out a com pot before!!! I don't even know how. Oh well. I sent Peter a message because I tried to use a gift card to pay for most the order and it didn't work. So when he responds I'll certainly be asking him some questions about this pot! And of course, I bought a companion plant for these plants...they're much too young to travel alone!!!!

Compots aren't too tough, but you'll need to keep the humidity up. Also since these are gigantea seedlings, be über careful with watering. I have my gig compot in an inverted cake lid that has a few holes in it. Keeps humidity up, and I only have to water once every few weeks or so. PM me of you have any questions, but remember these will be 5 years before blooming. At least...

Thank you I will take you up on your offer to email you!! I'm working on something now I feel will work well for my more tender plants. I have a few that need special attention for a variety of reasons.

As for them blooming...I know. But if I buy a slightly older one it'll be three years before I get blooms from them and what will they look like? Nah, I'd rather buy from Peter and know what I'm getting. This compot comes from two gorgeous parents so im will to wait. I'll post pics of my "nursery" soon.
