My first mounting project
Added some pics to my gallery of the second stage of my ongoing driftwood project. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those "never actually complete" projects of mine :)

Looks good! Link is here

I like it!
I very much like the way you've made a base for it so it will stand on it's own! It will make it much easier to transport and to take to shows, etc. when it grows up.
Great job. Keep us posted. Randy:biggrin: |
Thanks...I was originally thinking I'd hang it somehow but my husband surprised me by putting together a stand for it while I was at the Redlands show a few weekends ago. I love that it gave me some extra mounting space and some room for props. I'm thinking of adding a starfish or small anchor to the center part of the trunk.
PS - 50 is not old! |

I made 2 beach trips in the past week, hoping to find something interesting but didn't come up with anything at either beach. My sister-in-law was visiting and she suggested the anchor idea, which I love. I'm still searching...this is a project that I don't think will ever be actually complete. There will always be some sort of tweaking going on...

I know you'll find something cool. And I know 50 isn't really old, it's just that when you've done what I did when you were younger you get surprized when you live through it all.

I'm sometimes amazed that I made it to 44, so I know what ya mean :)

Hey, nice work Sue. I know, when you got so much orchid mounting space, its hard to let it go to waste. How are the roots doing? Have they attached themselves yet?
