Light recomendations for a 30-36" tall case
I am building a terrarium that will be primarily focused on small species that grow in the intermediate temp range. The case will be approximately 30" tall maybe 36". Currently I am looking at a 4 bulb t5 2' fixture. Will this give enough light for high light species like Catts at the top (up to 12" from the light. And low light species like pleurothallis in the bottom 24-30" away from the light? Is anyone growing a broad range of species in a taller case with successful flowering. Would appreciate thoughts and comments.

I'm curious as well since exo terra came out with a terrarium with similar height.

I've got an Orchidarium Grand Cayman. It's about 3 feet tall. I use 3 - dual biaxial CFL's. Thats 55w x 6. I've been able to spike phals on the bottom and Catts on an upper level a couple inches below the lights.

I have a home built wardian case that has a 28" high growing area. I installed a four foot fixture that holds 8 T5 bulbs and found that I had too much light for the cool-growing miniatures I had in the case and that I was getting some leaf burn form the excess light especially with the Masdevallias. I now use only one of the banks at a time (4 bulbs). I grow the higher light species up near the glass that separates the fixtures from the plants and they are doing well and blooming.
