White substance with small black bugs on my phal
 

I noticed just recently that this small white patch (that does not come off with high powered water) with very small black bugs inside on my phal.

Any suggestions of how to rid this plant of this stuff??

I don't know what that is but I would wash it off with a little soap and water. When was that phal repotted last? That medium doesn't look good to me.

I literally just watered it which is why it's that deep color. I'm pretty sure the white is from the bugs which is slowly killing that leaf there if you can see the darker color underneath the white.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried to wipe it off with a Q-tip soaked in alcohol?
