Cattleya intermedia orlata-aquini

Well, selective breeding can produce such a beauty. This is not only aquini, but also orlata. The best thing is that the flower does not have the bad habit of being tulip shaped, as most of the intermedias having C. intermedia aquini in the background is. Hope you enjoy it!

Mauro, that's stunning!
How big is the bloom?

Very beautiful Mauro.

I rather prefer the ones only orlata (in intermedia). Hope you will show us some soon, you must have some in your big collection.

4" across, Susanne. The flowers don't get fully flat because of the influence of the aquini parent otherwise it could be a little larger
