A little non-stop flowering mini phal

I got this little doritis hybrid at a local farmer's market. The name tag says TS Micky and some numbers without any parentage. It is sold at the market pretty much all year around. I was never really drawn to flowers with dots, but one day in August, this one somehow appealed to me and so I brought one home.
It had about 9 flowers/buds on it when first brought home. The tip of the spike continued to elongate making 7 more flowers and it has five of those left on the spike although it doesn't really show there are five in the picture. The tip of the spike looks like it is going to make some more buds. I guess this one is one of those that continue on blooming on an old spike in addition to making new spikes. :)

It is also making a new leaf as well. I think I will keep this one and see how long the spike gets.

It is quite cute.

By the way, I grow this one under a halogen lamp along with a few other mini orchids like Twinkle, tolumnia, and two regular sized paphiopedilums.

Cute! I like the shape of the petals and sepals.

At first I thought those little wavy grooves on the petals were eaten up by bugs, but they were just normal part of this flower. lol

I like this little guy. The thing is I sort of miss it when it had lots of flowers on it. It looks like once it loses the initial ten flowers or so, it only keeps about four of five at a time as the spike continues to grow and make more buds. well...still cute. :)
I might buy a whole bunch of these tomorrow at a farmer's market and put them all in a large container. They will all have lots of flowers each. :D

I have 2 Doritaenopsis and both are sequential bloomers like yours is. I also have 2 equestris that are also sequential bloomers, one has been in constant bloom since August 2005 !!! When one spike's blooms start ending it's already put out another !

Flowering since 2005? OMG!!!! I will have to find out how long mine will continue to stay in bloom. 5th month in bloom so far, which is still great for me as all my other phals usually stay in bloom for 4 or 5 months. This one is going to break the record in my apartment it looks like. :)

Lovely flowers and nice that the plant is in bloom all the time.

So cute !!

Thank you, everyone!

I just came back from the farmer's market. They did have more of these little ones, some with even two spikes. Unfortunately, I'm quite picky and didn't find anything appealing. Some were broken due to careless, thoughtless customers.
I should have been out there earlier to pick some nice ones.
Well, at least I brought home some nice amaryllis again. Yay!!! :)

I wish they sold things like this at my farmer's market! Nice find!

I have a smiliar one.I bought in 2005 and it has never been without flowers. Once , the flower stem last about 9 months. i was so bored of that and in the end i cut the flower stem ( i know it is very mean of me ) but the doritis took his revenge by giving another stem.just couple of weeks later. It must be something in their genera.
