dendrobium rigidum blooms again

This little one rewards me a few times a year with blooms. As soon as the new shoot matures, it sends out an inflorescence.

Nice! Do you give this one any kind of winter rest? -Stephen
|
Thanks for looking Stephen. I used to give this one a cooler, dry winter rest, but the plant struggled. I now keep it in my int. tank, water it regularly and it seems much happier. The temps. are about 22C daytime, and 16-18C night time, about 60-70% r.h. and 2000-3000fc. light. Hope this helps.

Beautiful, ezil! I really love these succulent Australian Dendrobiums. Thanks for the cultural info, too, your plant looks very healthy.

Thanks Nat. You just made my day.

Ooo!!! Lovely little guy! I totally want one!

I got mine from H&R nurseries when they visited Alberta a few years ago. These are quite common, and I think Clouds either has them, or had them in the past. They would be the first to check out. By the sounds of it, you have the right conditions with your new set up, and this being a miniature, enough space as well. Hope you find one.
