Curly compact fluorescents Lifespan?
 

I was wondering do bulbs go bad after a while and you need to replace them kind of like how UVB bulbs wear out and reduce uv output over time, or how lights for corals go bad after a while also? I replace my saltwater reef's lights every 6 months or so to make sure I'm getting optimum light output and quality.

Is this as much of a concern when It comes to orchids? So far I have been using 26 watt curly cfl on my orchidarium.

I change mine every two seasons.
