Did you cut your seed pods well they're green? You could just let them brown and split. Use a coffee filter around the pod to keep everything together. Then, just let the seeds dry. They'll hold up for away being dried.

Thanks Wjs2nd, I have cut a couple but i haven't cut all of them as yet....some still need a little more time.
I really don't know when the lab will open again....things have been very bad lately. @roby, I've got about 100 seedpods of various Vanda and ascda waiting to be flasked |
You can use this home made medium:
1.5 g/l NPK 20-20-20 20 g/l sugar 2 g activated charcoal (required with this type of species) 6 g/l agar agar 1 l demineralised water for germination of these species this medium is fine, then when you transplanting into new medium, you can add 50 max 100 g / l of banana and raised to 2 g / l the NPK fertilizer but if you want to buy a professional medium, you can use the Phytotec Lab P668 (half dose) or K400 or P723 |
Thanks a million for that information....i'll give it a go
