Cattleya intermedia var. lilacina
 

My plant still is small, but gave one flower anyway. I am posting it just to let the variety registered. This variety name refers to the color, especially to the lip color. Lilacina is the flower of a very clear bluish color (orchid sense always :) !), or tending to it, something in between the lilac and the coerulea, but always very clear. In my case, the flower is also semialba.

That is beautiful, I have a C. intermedia but not that color. I'll have to look for one of those. Jim.

Where did you find this particular variation? I did a quick search on Google and did not come up with much.

This is a piece of a plant I aquired from a local nursery, Becca. True lilacinas are not common even here in Brazil, but if you dig here and there you end up with something. I agree, there's not much on the internet about intermedia lilacina and I think that this reflects the variety rarity.

Well I will just keep it on my very large wish list and hope I come across one someday!
