Not my fault, I swear it jumped in the cart when I wasn't looking!

On saturday I went to the garden center with the sole intention of getting some hay and shavings for my guinea pig. The way the store is built you have to go past every section in order to get to the cashier (very much like Ikea!) Of course it means going past the orchids even though I had no intention of buying any (have a large vet bill to pay off first...). Next thing I knew there was an orchid sitting in the shopping cart!

The plant is enormous, and the pot feels ready to explode from the mass of roots in it. I counted 22 bulbs, with plenty of new growths as well. And I only paid 10€ for it!

Looks very similar to Miltonia x binotii, except that the lip has some markings on it. There are tags from the grower and the initial supplier, and both have online catalogs but this one's not in them. I sent an email hoping to get a name...

Got yourself a good one, Camille !!! You can divide it into thirds when it's done blooming keep the main one and sell off/trade the other 2 !!!

I googled and it's $13.73 US dollars !!! A steal/deal !!!

That's a monster. Look at all those psuedobulbs. Very pretty.

It was tagged at 15€, but when I went to pay for it it turned out to be 10!

I was thinking of dividing it, but for now I think that I'll repot it into a larger pot (and remove the sphag ball which I bet is lurking down in the core of the rootball) and then maybe next year I'll divide it. I'd like to put a piece in S/H.

That one would have, most definitely, jumped into my trolley as well. So pretty.
