This is Gotokoa Masterpiece 'Nalo'. Thank you PaphMadMan for the nomenclature help! :bowing

Zelemnia Trixie x Gomesa varicosa = Gotokoa Materpiece

I pretty much just eased it off of the wood block it was barely attached to, and used some light gauge bonsai wire (aluminum) over the rhizome to attach it to this grapevine, with a bit of sphagnum moss and some spanish moss.

Thanks, I did forget to mention that I scrubbed and washed the wood VERY thoroughly to get rid of little tid bits. I do love grapevines, they are natural art in and of themselves.

Me too I like, it's a very nice looking mount, especially with the different shades of brown it has. I never thought of grapewood for mounts. Maybe I should go ask my neighbor for some (I'm from a wine region in france, and my neighbor's family has a vineyard).

I'm definitely not in wine country, but I thought I heard that there are a couple of of vineyards in my region. So I was thinking of doing the same (not a neighbor though).

Really nice job. It came out looking great. With all the Spanish moss we have growing from the live oaks around here, I'm going to have to use some for my mounts as well.

otis- be careful of critters in the spanish moss. bugs and stuff might be hiding in there
