Paph. philippinensis x rothschildianum seedling
1 Attachment(s)
I got this "little" guy 2 years ago, and he is one tough cookie! Not the fastest grower, but it was a tiny seedling when I got it. Now its leaves are almost as hard as Cattleya leaves. I recently moved it out from flourescent lighting to an east facing window. I have a question for the paph experts, though. Because it has the same parents as Paph. St. Swithin but reversed, is it still the same hybrid, or is there another hybrid name for this one?

It's still a Saint Swithin; it doesn't matter what order the parents are used. By the way, Saint Swithin has (the last time I checked) more AOS awards than any other species or hybrid-over 250).

Thanks for letting me know! Thats very cool that St. Swithin has done so well! I cant wait to see mine flower, and I hope since philippinensis is the pod parent that it will take more of its traits.
