Need min and max temps for the following.
I got tired of having to look up the min and max temperatures all the time for my orchids, so I'm compiling a spreadsheet in excel.
However, I found that I have nothing for a few. If you guys could help me out with them, that would be great. 1.) Brassia Gilded Urchin (Shooting Star) 2.) Colmanara (no other id given) 3.) Degarmoara Winter Wonderland 4.) Goodaleara Tahitian Dancer 5.) Miltassia C M Fitch (and C M Fitch Izumi, though I'm assuming they are the same) 6.) Oncidium Sweet Shary Baby 'Sweet Frangrance' 7.) Wils (not sure what this stands for) Pacific Panache 8.) Trisetella gemmata Once I have these, I will have a complete list of my 61 orchids to easily reference! YIPPEE! |
The only thing I can help you with is that Wils = Wilsonara.
And Wilsonara = Cochlioda x Odontoglossum x Oncidium |
Good idea! I need to do that. I've had a few of my orchids outside this summer and now that the nights are getting cooler, I'm constantly checking min and max temps.

Okay here goes-
1.) Brassia Gilded Urchin (Shooting Star) This is actually Brassidium Gilded Urchin 'Shooting Star' which is comprised of Brasia X Oncidium 2.) Colmanara (no other id given) is comprised of Miltonia X Odontoglossum X Oncidium 3.) Degarmoara Winter Wonderland is comprised of Miltonia X Brassia X Odontoglossum 4.) Goodaleara Tahitian Dancer is comprised of Brassia x Cochlioda x Miltonia X Odontoglossum X Oncidium 5.) Miltassia C M Fitch (and C M Fitch Izumi, though I'm assuming they are the same) Is actually: Miltassia Charles M Fitch 'Izumi' and is comprised of Miltonia X Brassia 6.) Oncidium Sweet Shary Baby 'Sweet Frangrance' is actually Oncidium Sharry Baby 'Sweet Fragrance' and is straight Onciidium 7.) Wils (not sure what this stands for) Pacific Panache is actually Wilsonara Pacific Panache and is comprised of Cochiloda X Odontoglossum X Oncidium 8.) Trisetella gemmata was once a Masdevallia and is a cool grower. #'s 1- 7 all require the same care medium bright light, lots of water when in active growth water again as they approach dryness, never let them go for long period being dry and temp range 58 - 85 at night My work here is done!! |
WOW! Thank you Glengary! That's a lot of useful information for me to use!
