Sedirea japonica 'Myounghwan'
Along with my Neofinetia falcata 'Manjusahwa' that I got yesterday I also got Sedirea japonica 'Myounghwan' or is it 'Myoung Hwan'? I don't know if the flowers are the same colour as japonica but it will be interesting to find out when it flowers.

I have a Sedirea japonica Daruma type (which I found in Europe unbelievably!), which has the same shape an size as yours. I think it's such a cutie! I haven't owned it long enough to see blooms, but the grower said that it will bloom out the same as the standard Sedirea.
I used to have a Sed. japonica 'Minmaru' from New World Orchids, but it got virused and died before I saw it in bloom. I read on internet that 'Myounghwan' is the Korean name for 'Minmaru', and I know that they bloom like a standard one, although they may have more or less barring on the petals. |
That is incredibly cute! And those roots are HUGE!

It is a darling of a plant. I'm longing to see both sedireas in flower - not entirely sure how old these plants are.
