Greenhouse materials?
 

I'm planning on building a greenhouse soon (relatively), and have no idea what I'm doing. Does anyone have a good suggestion for what I should use for the 'windows'? As of now, I'm going to make it a cool/intermediate greenhouse. It will be in full sun, and the climate around here can best be described as Mediterranean.

Any suggestions?

Make it as large as you can , they are never big enough :)
You will need shade cloth for sure and a way to cool it off a swamp cooler aka evaporative cooler works good in your area . If using windows instead of polycarbonate panels ones that open . You will have a problem with the cool part considering where you live and it being in full sun .The Temps. can climb in a heartbeat the smaller it is the quicker it will . I don't know much about temp control and types of glass but I wanted to mention something I saw on tv.
I was watching a show on the home building channel and a woman and her husband built a green house out of old house windows. The entire structure was entirely made of old windows she collected from the dump and other salvage yards. The concept was really very neat and aside from the wood for framing it cost her nearly nothing to construct. I think she said the total cost of the project was less then $500.00.
Because each window was all different sizes her husband had to do a little fancy math while framing but it sure looked neat when it was finished!

my DH built my GH out of windows & a sliding glass door he took out of a house he was renovating. He designed it around what we had to work with. The lumber came from the cull cart at lowes & the entry door was our old back door.
These pics were taking before it was 100% done but you get the idea.
