Chip tec led lights from Orchids Limited???

:hmm:scratchhead:I have just received 2 chip tec led bulbs I bought from Orchids Limited. They are in my track light heads that are about 2 1/2ft. from the plants. I am really suprised at how non-bright they are. The guy told me they'd be fine above the plants at that distance, but compared to even 65w incandescents, they are really dim. I do get sharp shadows above the leaves close up to them, (the leaves) but in no way are they like the t5 jump start bulbs. So, I just bought 2 of the 60 diode led bulbs(7w, 38 degree beam) from them which are said to be great for distances of 3 to 5 ft. from the plants. I plan to put the 2 60 diode bulbs directly above the plants, and use the chip tec bulbs on either side. Has anyone else used these bulbs from Orchids Limited?:dunno:

I have not gotten any of them yet but actually live pretty close to orchids limited. I was going to go and check them out. The video they have on their site makes them look pretty bright.

I have 25 bulbs from them, but not those kinds. I have the MR16 7w and the BR30 15w. They aren't bright to you because all the light is going down. Get underneath them and, cautiously look up. I have been using for for 6 months and things are going well. The Chiptec may have less illumination.
