It is beautiful!

Gorgeous!!!! And fragrant to boot, lucky you. I have purchased from Kawamoto before and have always been pleased. They seem to send the biggest they have on hand. I bought a couple that were supposed to be in 4 inch pots and they were in 5 inch when I got them and in need of a repot. Great sellers to deal with.

I have found Reid to be the most reliable seller of Orchids on Ebay ......

You just have to love the species, the powers that be got it right from the biginning, yet we insist upon mucking up that total perfection by making hybrids. What total idiots we are.
|
I Feel you Glen!!!!! I was addicted to hybrids and i found after a few years of growing them that I didnt like them lol!!!! i have a Primary hybrid which is practically a species anyways. Im not saying i hate hybrids but i do prefer the species or species clones over anything else! I now hope to only grow Species type cattleyas. I may have a few hybrids in my collection because lets face it the hybrids are gorgeous
When this plant stops blooming i will prune off the old growths and keep the majority of the right side of pic 6 of the rubra spit it right down the middle. the blooming Lead has not sent down any new roots yet as with the labiata Var Alba. I just repotted that, At risk of losing the buds yes, But to the benefit of the overall health of the plant in my conditions. if the Rubra Send down new roots soon i will snip the blooms (I Know Its seems like a travesty) and divide off the old stuff and pot up new so it can become a Specimen im going to try lava rock i really love the stuff and all my other catts love it!!!!!! It will make it easier to grow into a specimen that way too having a medium that does not break down! Thanks guys for looking!!!:biggrin: |
Stunning!!!!

WOW!!! I wish I could order from Kawamoto, as I have only ever seen positive responses to him and his plants!
